Some notes:
When you are starting to learn how to draw heads and faces or learning how to do it correctly; you need to be aware that some styles tend to translate or do things differently. Not all good styles follow all the rules but with that being said, you should know and understand them before breaking them or changing them. You won't have a good grip on drawing heads or faces if you refuse to understand the basic construction of the head. Reference, Reference, Reference, and get feedback. You can't get better if you refuse to work with safety nets (References, Feedback, construction, and notes) and just drawing from your head. Your head is the most unreliable thing, your brain will toss out the stuff it doesn't need. So in other words, you need to practice drawing construction a lot and using references a lot. There is a science to repetition and taking good notes, if you are struggling with remembering basic info then take notes. Of course use references, you wanna draw a new face or expression look up images. You wanna draw someone or a character look up references. There are also loads more guides and methods. Loomis method is recommended because learning how to view 3d form will make learning easier and properly seeing things from reference as well. Loomis Method3d Method of Thinking in other areas
